Successfully flashed the firmware and is fully functional. I insisted on installing QFlipper on my laptop and almost threw in the towel and went to Windows but I found an easy way to install using flatpak. I plan on running with stock firmware for a while and then I’ll move to Flipper unleashed at some point. I love that this thing is themed after a Tamagotchi.

Here’s how to flash the firmware with flatpak in case someone needs it.
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install flatpak
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
flatpak install https://dl.flathub.org/repo/appstream/one.flipperzero.qFlipper.flatpakref
